City Corporation Administration
Since the City of Russellville’s purchase of the system in 1982 and the formation of the non-profit corporation in 1985, the Utility has been under the direction of 37 different Directors and only five different managers. They have provided the stable leadership and prudent fiscal management necessary for the Water and Wastewaters’ successful transition from a small water system to a regional drinking water utility.
Organization
The City Corporation Board of Directors is an appointed commission of the City of Russellville, Arkansas, which is comprised of five members. City Corporation was established as authorized by Arkansas statute in 1985 to operate, maintain, and improve the Russellville municipal waterworks and wastewater system. The Corporation functions as a City owned utility and supported by the revenue generated from the ratepayers of the systems. The corporation employs staff for the Water and Wastewater Plant operations. While the Maintenance, Construction, Engineering, Administration and Support staff serves both. City Corporation presently employs approximately 65 individuals within the company.
Steve Mallett
General Manager
Steve Mallett has been General Manager since December of 2012. Steve worked in the City Corporation Engineering Department from 1991 to 2002. After leaving for the Utilities and Public Works position with the City of Hot Springs, he returned to Russellville upon accepting the General Manager position for City Corporation in late 2012. Steve has three girls; Madison, Savannah, and Macey. The Mallett family is excited to be a part of the Russellville community and Steve is thankful for the opportunity to serve the community as General Manager of City Corporation.
